ORDINANCE NO. 98


AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE PARKING OF AUTOMOBILES AND OTHER VEHICLES ON A CERTAIN PORTION OF A PUBLIC STREET IN THE CITY OF KRESS; PROVIDING THAT AUTOMOBILES AND OTHER VEHICLES SHALL PARK PARALLEL ON U.S. 87 IN THE CITY OF KRESS; PROVIDING THE MANNER IN WHICH SAID VEHICLES SHALL BE PARKED; PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KRESS, TEXAS:

SECTION 1: No person shall stand or park an automobile, truck, trailer,
or other vehicles on U.S. 87 in the City of Kress, Texas, other than parallel
with the edge of the said sreet, headed in the direction of lawful traffic
movement, and with the right-hand wheels of the said automobile, truck, trailer,
or other vehicle within eighteen (18) inches of the curb or edge of the said
street.

SECTION 2: Any person who shall violate this Ordinance or any part
thereof shall be fined not less than One and No/100 Dollar ($1.00) nor
more than Two Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($200.00).

SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4: The City Secretary of the City of Kress is authorized and
directed to cause the publication of this Ordinance as provided by law.
